Many people appear to be functioning well on the outside while quietly struggling internally with anxiety, self-criticism, emotional overwhelm, or feeling disconnected from themselves. I help children, teens, adults, couples, and families better understand these patterns and build more compassionate, balanced, and connected relationships with themselves and others.
Hello, I’m Lauren. I provide trauma-informed therapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, with a focus on anxiety, disordered eating, body image concerns, self-worth, emotional regulation, and attachment-related difficulties.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, caring individuals who feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, emotional overwhelm, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or self-criticism. For some, these struggles may show up through anxiety, difficulty coping with emotions, strained relationships, low self-esteem, or a complicated relationship with food and body image. Often, these patterns develop gradually over time and are shaped by earlier experiences, relationships, and the ways we learned to cope emotionally.
I support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, body image concerns, disordered eating patterns, emotional overwhelm, and attachment-related challenges, as well as couples and families navigating communication difficulties, emotional disconnection, conflict, and relationship stress. Many of the clients I work with want to feel more grounded, emotionally balanced, and connected, but are unsure how to break free from the patterns that keep them feeling stuck.
When working with children and families, I consider the broader relational and emotional environment surrounding the child rather than viewing difficulties in isolation. Children develop within relationships, and meaningful change often involves supporting both the child and the caregiving system around them.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping clients create meaningful and sustainable change. Therapy combines emotional insight with practical tools and strategies to support self-awareness, emotional regulation, coping, and healthier relationships. I integrate trauma-informed care, attachment-based perspectives, cognitive and emotional approaches, and body-aware strategies to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs and experiences.
The goal of therapy is not perfection but to help you feel more connected to yourself, more emotionally supported, and better able to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence, balance, and self-compassion.
If you are looking for a supportive and compassionate space to better understand yourself, strengthen relationships, and create lasting change, this work may be a good fit for you.
Outside of the therapy room, I value connection, balance, and slowing down when possible, whether that’s spending time with loved ones, exploring new places with a coffee in hand, or enjoying a quiet walk outdoors.
