“Every person’s story matters. My role is to help you explore yours with care, curiosity, and a path forward.”
When patterns in your relationships, emotions, or parenting don’t change, despite insight, it’s often because they were shaped early, not recently.
I help individuals, couples, and families understand and shift these deeper patterns for lasting change.
Hello, I’m Sondra.
I provide trauma-informed therapy for individuals, couples, and families, with a focus on how early development and attachment experiences shape emotional regulation, relationships, and parenting.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and self-aware, yet still find themselves caught in repeating cycles, whether that’s anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship disconnection, or difficulty responding to their child in the way they intend.
Rather than focusing only on present-day symptoms, my work addresses the underlying patterns formed through early experiences, so change is not just temporary, but sustained.
How Can I Help
Early experiences, particularly those involving emotional neglect, trauma, or chronic stress, shape how the nervous system learns to respond to the world.
In adulthood, this can present as:
I work with individuals and couples navigating relational trauma and attachment injuries, as well as parents who recognise that their own childhood experiences are influencing how they show up with their children.
When working with children, the focus is not on the child in isolation. Children develop within relationship, and meaningful change happens through the parent–child dynamic. I work collaboratively with parents to better understand their child’s needs, while also supporting shifts in the patterns that shape the relationship.
My Approach
My approach is structured, collaborative, and focused on meaningful change.
Sessions are designed to go beyond insight, helping you understand how patterns developed and how to shift them, both emotionally and within the nervous system. Whether we are working individually, as a couple, or within a family context, the focus remains on creating safer, more regulated, and more connected ways of relating.

A Final Note
This work is not about revisiting the past without purpose. It is about understanding how your experiences have shaped you, so you can move forward differently, in yourself, your relationships, and your family.
If you’re looking for depth, clarity, and meaningful change, I would be honoured to support you.
Outside of Therapy
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy riding my motorbike on country roads, quiet time at home, sipping tea while watching birds in my garden, and spending quality time with my family.
As a certified member of the Psychotherapy Matters Virtual Collaboration (PMVC), I offer comprehensive psychological assessments, with the option for psychiatric consultation when beneficial. This collaboration enables me to work alongside a psychiatrist both before and after your assessment, enhancing diagnostic clarity and treatment planning. Throughout this process, you will continue receiving care from me as your therapist.
While OHIP covers the psychiatrist’s consultation, my session fee will be billed at the standard therapy rate. This fee reflects the integrated clinical work involved and ensures you receive cohesive, team-based care. This approach combines a medical perspective with therapeutic depth, all while maintaining the safety and continuity of your therapy. The integrated clinical work involved ensures you receive cohesive, team-based care that combines medical perspective with therapeutic depth, without interrupting the safety and continuity of your therapy.
